Marvin was from the first Chinese Crested litter of this kennel. Since no one else was interested in him, he stayed with me. He was always a fun-loving, spirited, and extremely sociable playmate for all the dogs here - big and small. I never took him to dog shows, so he always had a short haircut for easier grooming. To avoid any risk of an unwanted litter with one of my females, I had Marvin neutered.

I never imagined that this sweet and always healthy boy would leave me forever at not even seven years old. He is missed - like all the others who have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I take comfort in the fact that he was able to live a life full of joy and energy during those few years.

On his fourth birthday, Porsche had to be rushed to the veterinary clinic completely unexpectedly. He underwent emergency surgery the following day but succumbed to lung failure on May 18^th. He will be cremated in early June so that he can join all the others who have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge in my memory corner.

This completely unexpected death of a much too young, locally bred male dog has made the dark hole I've been in since his father's death even deeper and darker. I won't be able to escape this hole for a long time. Rest in peace, my darling, I will never forget you and will always carry you in my heart.

On June 5^th, Porsche was cremated in the morning, and in the evening I brought his urn home. A pendant containing his ashes now hangs from my rearview mirror in the car.
